Sen. Rania Sedky
Member of the Egyptian Senate, Egyptian SenateSenator Rania EizEldin Sedky is a distinguished Egyptian senator, business leader, and advocate for women’s empowerment and sustainable development, with more than three decades of experience in political, social, and economic leadership. As a member of the Egyptian Senate, she has been deeply involved in shaping strategies focused on women’s inclusion, entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, and countering extremism.
Senator Sedky holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo and has represented Egypt in numerous high-level international forums under the auspices of the Arab League, African Union, and United Nations. She is a member of the National Council for Women in Egypt, the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, the African Alliance for Women’s Empowerment, the COMESA Business Council, and the Women’s Network of the World Trade Organization.
A committed champion of gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, Senator Sedky has contributed to major regional initiatives promoting cultural dialogue, social cohesion, and inclusive economic growth. Through her extensive leadership and diplomatic engagement, she continues to strengthen cooperation between regional and global institutions and advance transformative agendas for peace, security, and equitable development across Africa and the Arab world.
