Lord Thomas is President of the Qatar International Court, Chair of the London Financial Markets Law Committee and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts. He was Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales 2013-2017. He is also Chancellor of Aberystwyth University, Chair of several other legal associations, practices as an international arbitrator and is an active member of the House of Lords. He has written and spoken worldwide about international commercial law, constitutional law and legal history.
