Omeed Malik

Founder and President, 1789 Capital

Omeed Malik is the Co-Founder and President of 1789 Capital, a growth equity investment firm focused on financing American companies in the Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Growth (“EIG”) economy. He is also the Founder and CEO of Farvahar Partners, a boutique investment bank and broker-dealer advising venture-backed businesses and institutional investors. In addition, he served as Chairman and CEO of Colombier Acquisition Corp I & II, both NYSE-listed SPACs that successfully merged with Public Square Holdings and GrabAGun Holdings, respectively. 

Prior to founding his firms, Omeed was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he ran the Prime Brokerage business and Emerging Manager Program within Global Equities. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Vice President at MF Global, helping to restructure its global distribution platform. 

Before entering finance, Omeed practiced corporate law at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, specializing in capital markets, private equity, and governance. He also held roles in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. 

Omeed holds a J.D. with honors from Emory Law School and a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Colgate University, where he graduated cum laude. He serves on the Board of Directors of Fannie Mae and holds multiple FINRA registrations.
