Malek Hammoud is Zain Group’s Chief Investment and Digital Transformation Officer, joining the organization in early 2017. Over the past few years, as part of the Zain Group Executive Management team, Malek has been playing an instrumental role in the digital transformation of Zain across all its markets primarily focused on seeking new digital related revenue streams for the company. Additionally, he is passionately involved in the regional digital start-up ecosystem from advising aspiring entrepreneurs, investing in start-ups as well as many dealings with leading regional and international VC funds. Before joining Zain Group, Malek had a long career at the National Bank of Kuwait as Head of the Domestic Multi-National Corporations. Malek has a vast experience in capital markets, corporate banking, investment banking and in the digital arena. He completed his Bachelor in Electrical Engineering at the American University of Beirut, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) and earned an MBA from the London Business School.
