Khalid Omer Yousif is a Sudanese politician and democracy advocate, recognized for his pivotal role in the December Revolution that ended the 30-year authoritarian regime of Omar al-Bashir. A leader in the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC), Khalid played a key part in shaping Sudan’s transitional government following the 2019 revolution, working tirelessly to establish a civilian-led administration focused on justice, peace, and democratic transformation. Through his leadership in “Tagadom”, a coalition focused on peacebuilding and democratic renewal, he champions initiatives for ending the war, addressing the roots of conflict, and paving the way for an inclusive, civilian-led future. Khalid’s work is rooted in his unwavering belief in justice, democracy, and the power of collective action to transform Sudan’s future.
