Rasta Daei is Head of Office / Syria Envoy for the Government of Canada. He is based in Beirut and has held this post since September 2021. He was previously Political Counsellor at the Embassy of Canada to Libya, First Secretary in Mexico (2015 - 2018) and First Secretary in Afghanistan (2009 - 2012). Rasta is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Farsi.
