H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Arab Republic of Egypt
H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, a position he has held since July 2024. 
A seasoned and active diplomat with over three decades of experience, he has served Egypt across multiple strategic capitals and in some of the most sensitive foreign policy dossiers.
Before his appointment as Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdelatty served as Egypt’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, and Egypt’s Ambassador to the European Council, the European Commission, and Representative to NATO from 2021 until 2024. 
Prior to that, he was Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs and Egypt’s National Coordinator for the Union for the Mediterranean.
From 2015 to 2019, Dr. Abdelatty served as Egypt’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Earlier, he was Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Director of Public Diplomacy. 
His previous assignments include senior roles in Washington, Brussels, Tokyo.
Dr. Abdelatty holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Cairo University.
