Amal Mudallali, Ph.D., A visiting Research Scholar at Princeton University. Former Ambassador to the United Nations, representing Lebanon. Founder and CEO of Bridges International Group, a political consultancy in Washington DC.-International affairs Consultant and contributer to Arab News and Asharaq Al Awsat and other affiliates, and publisher of SpaceFlash, a space newsletter. Fall 2023, worked as Adjunct Professor teaching Multilateralism with focus on Space Policy at Princeton University's SPIA.  Currently a visiting research scholar at Princeton. From 2018-2022 served as the Lebanese ambassador to the United Nations. -Elected Vice President of the UN General Assembly  in 2020, served as vice president of the UN First Committee dealing with disarmament and nuclear proliferation, served on the executive boards of the Peace Building Commission and UNICEF, and elected the vice chair of the Information Committee. Led an initiative for food security and a resolution on the same issue to help needy countries after the global food crisis due to the Ukraine war, led an initiative on vaccine equity to help with equitable access to Covid 19 vaccines for the developing world. Organized events on Space at the UN and championed sustainability of space, and co-led negotiations on a global compact for the environment. Before the UN, worked from 2005-2017 in Washington as a consultant on American Affairs to Prime Minister Saad Hariri of Lebanon.  From 1998-2005 as foreign policy advisor to later Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.  Started career as a journalist in Washington and served as a correspondent for the BBC, and appeared as a guest contributor on CNN,MSNBC, and Al Jazeera. Articles also were published by Foreign Policy, The National Interest, Al Riyadh, Annahar and other Arab newspapers and outlets. Recipient of the Chevalier de L'Ordre de la Legion award from French President Jacques Chirac.- Ph.D. in political communication from the University of Maryland, MA in communication from Syracuse University, pursued an MA at the American University of Beirut, BA from the Lebanese University.
