Fred Fleitz
Vice Chair, America First Policy InstituteFred Fleitz is Co-President of the Washington Global Strategy Group. He is also a Vice Chair with the America First Policy Institute. Fleitz served as National Security Council Chief of Staff in the Trump Administration. Prior to that, Fleitz held national security positions for 25 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Department of State, and the House Intelligence Committee staff.
Fleitz has done many media interviews on international security issues, including Fox News, BBC, BBC Persian, Al Arabiya, Sky News Arabia, Alhurra, Al Sharq, and others. He is a Newsmax TV contributor. Fleitz’s articles and op-eds have appeared in many publications, including the Wall Street Journal.
Fleitz is the author or editor of eight books on international relations. His eighth book, “An America First Approach to U.S. National Security,” was published in 2024. Fleitz’s next book, “North Korea, Nuclear Brinkmanship, and the Oval Office,” will be published by Texas A&M Press in spring 2026. Texas A&M Press will publish a similar book by Fleitz on Iran’s nuclear program in 2027.
Fleitz holds a BA in Politics from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and an MA in Political Economy from Fordham University in New York.
