Dr. Saurabh Mishra
Founder and CEO, Taiyō.aiDr. Saurabh Mishra has dedicated over two decades to advancing the fields of artificial intelligence, policy, infrastructure construction, and decision-making. In his early career in Washington, D.C., he held significant roles at the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he managed and oversaw more than 40 megaprojects worldwide. A proud alumnus of the University of Maryland, Dr. Mishra earned his Ph.D. in Reliability Engineering, producing the first thesis that applied AI to megaproject management. He then joined Stanford University's Institute for Human-Centered AI as the Director of the AI Index program, contributing to the early development of AI policy. His academic contributions extend to teaching roles at institutions including UC Berkeley, University of San Francisco, Sciences Po. As the founder and CEO of Taiyō.AI, Dr. Mishra has developed the largest data platform and the first AI platform for construction and public procurement, enhancing transparency in government spending and shaping one of the world's largest economic sectors. Dr. Mishra's research focuses on a systems architecture approach to AI, aiming to facilitate more sustainable investment and policy decisions. Currently, Dr. Mishra serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), a non-resident fellow at the Brookings Institution, and is a member of the OECD.AI expert group. He is a frequent keynote speaker and guest lecturer at business, policy, and academic forums.
