Dr. Samson Mndolo, serving as the Secretary for Health in Malawi since April 2023, is a distinguished Anesthesiologist by profession. His extensive experience includes his previous role as the Director of Malawi's largest referral hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Central in Blantyre, where he provided leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and Cyclone Freddy. Dr. Mndolo has also contributed significantly to academia as a clinical lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Malawi, and as a part-time lecturer at the Malawi College of Health Sciences. His expertise in anesthesia and intensive care is further highlighted by his tenure as the Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
