Dr Khalid Koser is the founding Executive Director of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, the global fund dedicated to preventing violent extremism. He is Professor of Conflict, Peace, and Security at the University of Maastricht. Khalid was appointed MBE for services to asylum seekers and refugees, chaired the World Economic Forum Future Council on Migration, and was editor of the Journal of Refugee Studies. He was recently ranked by Stanford University in the top 2 percent of scientists worldwide.
