Jelena Trkulja is the Senior Advisor for Academic and Cultural Affairs at Qatar Museums and the Editorial Director of Qatar Creates and the Design Doha Forum. She leads initiatives and public programs focused on using art, design, and education to make a positive impact. Trkulja's work centers on educational strategies and cultural diplomacy to promote collaboration between museums, universities, and schools. She holds a Ph.D. in art and archaeology from Princeton University and has a broad background teaching art theory and architectural history. In addition to her academic career, her experience spans research institutes, NGOs, consulting, museums, and the art industry, which gives her a unique perspective on how art and education can help shape modern society. Trkulja moderates discussions at international conferences and forums, connecting academics, government officials, and contemporary artists and architects. Her goal is to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among diverse groups, supporting Qatar Museums' mission to use art and design as tools for social change and community improvement.
