Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim

Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University
Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim is a Professor of Public Health (Epidemiology) and Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Qatar University since 2020. Between 2008 and August 2017, she was the Associate Director of the Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) at Qatar University, and she is one of the founders of the Public Health B.Sc. program in 2012 and the Master in Public Health (MPH) program in 2015.
 
Dr. Abdul Rahim is recognized for her expertise in epidemiology and public health education. She has led numerous Qatar-based public health studies on issues including COVID-19 resilience and women’s health and serves on several high-profile committees, including the WHO's Steering Committee of the National Workforce Capacity Roadmap and the Lancet Commission on Evidence-based Implementation in Global Health. Dr Abdul Rahim's research, published in leading journals, focuses on the equitable translation of evidence into practice, supported by her extensive collaborations with national and international public health stakeholders
