Dr. Guled Abdijalil Ali is the Director General at the Federal Ministry of Health Somalia. He took over this role at a very critical time one year ago when Somalia was experiencing the worse drought in history. Before that, Dr. Guled was the Head of the Emergency department at the Federal Ministry of Health. Dr. Guled has worked with several humanitarian partners including United Nations agencies and various NGOs. He has been instrumental in the formulating and implementation of health policies with the goal of enhancing the accessibility of healthcare services in Somalia. He is a Medical Doctor specializing in Nephrology and Public Health Specialist and his work focuses on healthcare policy development, public health system strengthening, and health environment sustainability.
