Vice Chairperson, Yemen Reconciliation and Consultation Committee
Jamila Ali Rajaa is the Vice Chairperson for the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission under the Presidential Leadership Council. Ms. Rajaa holds the status of Ambassador following 30 years of service with the government of Yemen as a representative and advisor in the diplomatic corps, as well as various ministries. Following the 2011 uprising, she was a member of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference which its outcomes were the main components of the newly drafted constitution. Jamila is also the founder of a private consultancy firm that works closely with international and regional peace, development, and humanitarian agencies. She is a well-known mediator and facilitator in the three peace-building tracks. As a senior researcher, analyst, and lecturer, Rajaa has published numerous studies and articles related to human development, human rights, media and communications, gender, and civil society in Yemen and across the Middle East and North Africa.
