H.E. Mr. Ahmad Faisal bin Muhamad is a diplomat with over two decades of experience in international relations. He currently serves as Malaysia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.

Born in Kelantan, Malaysia, on May 24, 1970, H.E. Mr. Ahmad Faisal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom. He furthered his education at the London School of Economics and Political Science, earning a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations.

H.E. Mr. Ahmad Faisal began his diplomatic career in 1994. He has held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar and Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations in Geneva, Switzerland.

In 2023, he was appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York.
